Visual Identity Package

We created an advanced visual identity package for the Hispanic Open Learning Academy (HOLA).

HOLA is for those who believe that children can learn Spanish as a second or/and a third language through activities, arts, and games in an open learning environment. HOLA promises that working with Spanish native-speaking, experienced teachers, and using an engaging and interactive approach will help children get the fluency and understanding of the language. Visit their website here for more info.

Next, three creative directions were considered to set the feel and concept behind the brand, followed by the visual identity exploration design.

About the Visual Identity
The HOLA’s visual identity is both the icon and wordmark, ideally used together as a vertical lock-up.
The logo icon references an Amazon parrot, native to South America, making a connection to the owner's and staff's origins. These parrots are known for their exceptional speaking and trick learning abilities. The bird is surrounded by a blanket of knowledge - communicating the idea that only the sky’s the limit.
The wordmark consists of circle-made letters giving a sense of harmony and belonging, hinting at a welcoming and open environment.
Overall, the visual identity has a friendly demeanor, with an interactive and entertaining feel to it
